Things were sailing pretty smoothly for a while. Grant submitted, grant renewed. The boss drops a shit institutional review on the admin girl who does a ton to make our work run smoothly. Dude has such a mean streak, its like he single-handedly could install dictators with death squads in fifteen african nations. Noby really can keep him in check, and he is a legacy guy reaping rewards of a possible nobel. I will try to go to bat for the girl, something I figure she is not really interested in. I will ask her if she wants any support.
Theres not too much to be done though. She was married two years ago, gets paid ok and does a great job. she was a tech before this in the lab, and has been here for ten years I bet. The boss is just a pathological pain in the ass. I hope she is pregnant and can ride out things for a while. Im sure she wasnt to quite though. This is a lousy time considering the market, but then again she is really good at her job. I dunno. Bitchass. Boss has been off of me but one of these days...
That bites, it sucks to work for a right tyrant. Shit like that is why I don't think I would really want to take an administrative post.
